As we move through life, we encounter different stages and experience significant moments of transition. When we enter the third act of our lives, we are giving up our past roles and now need to find ones. In retirement and beyond, we get to re-invent ourselves, for ourselves.
My goal is to help women look and feel their best as they embrace this next chapter of their lives.
Aging, Beauty and
Wabi Sabi celebrates the impermanent, imperfect, and incomplete. Wabi refers to living simply, paring down to the essentials so you can appreciate them even more; Sabi refers to transience and the beauty of the aging process.
Laura incorporates the concept of Wabi Sabi in helping clients simplify their lives and their look. As we get older, we can feel invisible. I want to help you feel beautiful and alive no matter your age, shape or perceived imperfections.
"I always find beauty in things that are odd or imperfect. They are much more interesting."
— Marc Jacobs
Laura has spent her career helping people through transitions by supporting them to look, feel, and BE their best as they move into their next chapter. From her work as a career and retirement coach, to her work as a stylist and closet organizer for women of “our” age, Laura will help you build on your strengths and live an expansive life.
In her coaching work, she incorporates the Japanese concept of wabi sabi: how to accept yourself — imperfections and all. She also helps individuals to discover their gifts — at any age. She is a dragon boat paddler on a team whose average age is 69 and a guide at the Portland Japanese Garden.
